Open ended future for Open Source

Open source software/free software (OSS/FS) programs undoubtedly offer unique advantages to proprietary systems. By their very nature OSS/FS systems are licensed to give users the freedom to run the program for any purpose, to study and modify the source code, and to redistribute copies of either the original or the modified program without having to pay royalties to previous developers. Mostly ‘Free,’ however, stands for freedom of use not cost-free.
- Java is a pure object oriented language, flexible and portable. All these features come with an extra cost, Performance. Java performance issues have been addressed from different perspectives. The subject of my current research is improvemnt in performance of Java, by using the underlying hardware architecture.

Digital Watermarking In Images
- Watermark is a signal embedded into host data for reasons such as ownership, security, secret communication. Robust watermarking has been gaining importance off late. Once watermarks are embedded, they have to retrieved efficiently, no matter what kind of torment the host data receives, may be due to commpression, counter watermark inclusions, geometric deformation.
